Abstract

Based on the results of previous research, students with learning disabilities show different levels of development in speech perception and speech comprehension. The aim of our study was to compare the performance of 1st and 4th grade students attending schools with different curricula and those participating in inclusive education. We used the GMP speech perception and comprehension test series (Gósy, 2006) to measure acoustic, phonetic and phonological perception, as well as sentence and text comprehension levels. Our results can help in understanding communication skills and selecting the appropriate methods for development.
