Abstract

The aim of the abstract is to continue the joint reflection initiated at the 2024 national professional conference of the Hungarian Association of Special Education Teachers, during which we seek answers to the question of how to improve the quality of life of children with special needs living in specialised child protection care, based on the connections between special education and child protection. The professional dialogue aims to reflect on possible solutions to problems that significantly affect the field, focusing on methodological renewal based on interdisciplinary cooperation and the consideration of systemic issues. Our long-term goal is to develop theoretical and practical support materials that can be used at the national level to assist in the care of the children concerned.
