Bullying is a familiar problem at both preschool and school levels of education. Nowadays it is accepted that bullying can have long-term effects on the individual’s health and psychological makeup. Teachers are in key roles in the management of bullying, and their knowledge, and experiences, as well as teacher training also enjoy a special role in the field of bullying prevention and intervention. In the professional development of teachers, in addition to professional training, the individual’s previous experiences, such as experiences related to bullying, play an important role. In this study a questionnaire was used to ask preschool teacher trainees (N=276) about their own childhood bullying experiences, their attitudes towards bullying and the support they experienced in their childhood. The results revealed that most of the students could recall bullying experiences, primarily from elementary school, but some from preschool as well. Participants showed a high sensitivity to bullying and reported low perceived support. The experience of bullying in childhood has an influence, albeit slight, on the current assessment of the forms of bullying. The negative experience in terms of support from the school is connected to sensitivity to bullying.
