Education and therapy represent two fundamental aspects of the praxis and science of special education, that require new approaches in the special education of the 21st century. Our paper will discuss this context from a clinical perspective. Basic questions of educational therapy will be presented in the individual support of students requiring special treatment. We aim to promote mutual thinking to shape the vision of special education and clarify the educator/therapist relationship based on the education and research experience collected on the MA Program of the Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Education of the Eötvös Loránd University.
