Abstract

Childhood well-being is the focus of a growing body of research on childhood. In this paper, after clarifying the concept of well-being, we review the scientifically established  components of mental health, the factor of most interest to us, and discuss the environmental factors that have had the greatest impact on it over the past decade – the effects of climate crisis, epidemics and war. The literature review will also seek to emphasise the influences that support well-being, while not minimizing the risk factors that have been the most significant threats to children’s mental health over the last decade.
