Manifesto of the Iconography in History of Childhood

The first issue of our journal focuses on the Iconography in History of Childhood. Invited researchers publishing in this issue use several visual methods to underpin the essence of iconography. As this field of research is currently being conceptualised in Hungary, we hope that papers published here will fasten this process and will influence the researches of History of Childhood and History of Education. Our goal is to give an overview of the researchers’ recent works, research interests, results, which are gained with the fruitful help of visual analysis and iconography. At last but not least we hope, this new field will be one of the well appreciated subdisciplines of the History of Education.
