Abstract

According to educational scientist we are facing an educational crises. One of the causing factors is: success in studies and high performance does not guarantee anymore the success in work life. Than how school help adolescents to find their way in life? What school’s role is in the socialization process, how school helps youth to get along in the future? The present study tries to find out the followings: what graduating students think about their future, where they want to continue their life (university, working), and what the school is socializing for: achieving success or avoiding failure? The present study makes an attempt to highlight the relationship between carrier choosing and motivation, although tries to discover the role of openness in forming one’s future representation. The current study investigates how school competitions are related to motivation. Participants: 293 undergraduated students (final year in high-school), they were chosen from 5 different high-schools (3 theoretical schools, 2 professional schools).
