Abstract

There are a number of good practices for teaching children’s literature. In this study, the authors present a methodology that takes into account the use of digital tools in ‚the information society’ that is embedded in children’s everyday lives, showing that interpreting literature can be built on an openness to play. Digital storytelling with LEGO® StoryStarter builds on gamification while supporting the development of native tongue competencies, primarily comprehension, and text-creating skills, as well as the development of abstract and critical thinking in high school.
