What does one do if one cannot meet up with one’s students in person because of a pandemic? Faced with this question, I had to find a way of holding my live language storytelling course during the spring semester of the school year 2019/2020 for students majoring infant and early childhood education at the Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education of Eötvös Loránd University. After much thought and study of the tricks of online teaching, I finally managed to implement the practical training in a form that was completely different from the usual one, though within the same number of hours as originally planned. In this article, I would like, on the one hand, to share my experiences of this process, and on the other, I will cover the essential points of live storytelling, as well as present the methodological framework and the main features of my storytelling course.
