Abstract

Education in sustainability begins with our reconnection to nature, to our neighbourhood, and not least to ourselves. Environmental education or education for sustainable development aims to develop human skills and behaviours essential to the building of an ecologically, socially, economically and politically sustainable society. This is a process involving the whole of society, in which education plays only a minor role. The articles in issue no. 3 for 2020 of Gyermeknevelés Tudományos Folyóirat (Journal of Early Years Education) address this important theme from a number of angles.
