Abstract

In our study, we tried to find a new methodological way to characterise the main aspects of the attitude of kindergarten children to their kindergarten teacher. Furthermore we tried to make an appropriate psychological measurment tool to show the peculiarities of this relationship. This paper presents the first steps of developing the tool, based on symbolic representation, and the first results of the research. According to the responses of 45 five-year-old children we can conclude that our test may be able to separate groups in terms of attachment, independence and avoidance factors. By refining our method, we could create a supplementary relationship-diagnostic tool which could help to identify the problems and support to strenghten the connection between the kindergarten teacher and the child.
