Abstract

The study addresses two aspects of dr. Paul Ranschburg’s rich intellectual legacy. First, it presents Ranschburg’s impact on the scientific development and vision of special education. Then, the role of the Ranschburg-model is analysed in an international context with respect to the recognition of individual differences. A new approach is provided to interpret problems of diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation in the special education of the 21st century.
