Abstract

The study of EU Kids Online provides information about the Internet use of children at age between 0–8. The importance of it is relevant, because this problem hasn’t really been in the researchers’ focus, eventhough children of our time start their digital life at a younger age. The study focuses on the possibility of children’s Internet use, major online activities, their benefits, risks and the role of adults looking after them. The presented results are mainly based on data from European countries, but researches outside Europe are also mentioned. Besides comparing different results of countries, it gives an opportunity to compare different time periods and age groups as well, because they range earlier data in this well-made study.
