This paper discusses emotional life, processes and intelligence in middle childhood as well as causality of emotional processes. Impulses of family and institutional education are discussed in relation to children’s emotional development. Possibility that children of Y and Z generations have personality characteristics hindering communication between them and their older relatives is discussed. The paper talks about Chapman’s love languages, power of attachment and love and gives recommendations how to improve multiple intelligence in family and educational settings. Case studies are presented in relation to emotional development.
