Abstract

The author analyses the reading practices and their evolution of the latest generations: what kind of reading and text interpreting strategies they employ, how the capacity for text internalisation is forming, how the thinking, learning and navigation practices and techniques are being developed. He tries to overview the new phenomena that can be observed during reading, writing, text creation and consumption. He presumes, that the altered reading strategies and the change in the mindset are behind the tendencies marked generally as 'Downfall of Reading'.
