Family preservation services are complex, integrated services provided by a highly qualified social worker who ensures therapeutic services and everyday help for the family. Services are time-limited, provided usually for 3–6 months. The primary focus of family preservation services’ is empowering parents to be able raising up children themselves. Servises are usually provided for high risk families that are in crisis, from where children must be placed to foster care system otherwise. Family preservation services’ target group is not only families with newborns, toddlers or children under school age but they can be important form of early childhood interventions.
