Abstract

The early intervention in Hungary, a discipline having 46 years of local background and giving new methods in therapy for the international professional society, was initially characterised with focus on therapy. The aspects of curing leading from medical background and special education was gradually extended with special care of psychic needs of the parents. The recognition of the role of the family itself in the process of early childhood intervention in case of affected children lead from monodisciplinary aspect to interdisciplinary teamwork – bearing in mind the prevention.
