Manó-világ Kétnyelvű Óvodai Program alkalmazása a magyar óvodapedagógia keretein belül

Abstract

The Manó-Világ Bilingual Kindergarten Program works cooperatively together with kindergartens maintained by local government to help provide children of ages 3–7 with the opportunity of English language acquisition. The bilingual kindergarten program fits into the local pedagogy program and curriculum. It is actualized by the cooperative works of the native English and Hungarian teachers, with the Hungarian teachers' leadership. Our goal is not English language teaching, but rather creating a bilingual environment. In this study we briefly introduce the program, summarize the methodological elements, as well as mention the experiences and achievements so far.
