The attachment is basically a behavioral system, which has been defined by John Bowlby at the end of the sixties. This explores the properties of the relationship between mother and her child. Ever since the attachment means not just the classical relationship: there are several special areas like school attachment, which has a great importance nowadays. This study presents the results of a pilot research, which examined the intensity of high risk endangered and not endangered deviant adolescents' (11–15 years of age) attachment’s intensity to their school, and was carried out with questionnaire method. The research was carried out with focusing on the question like: Could the school be the secondary, or supplementary attachment’s object, and could it be a protective factor for adolescents?
The first part of this essay contains the properties and consequences of being different from the norms, the definition of multiple attachment by Bowlby, and the aspects of school attachment. The second part of this essay contains the results of the empirical research: differences of the school attachment’s intensity, analysis of the relationship between the teacher and student of attachment aspects, and finally the correlation between the mother attachment and the school attachment.
