Students nowadays are different from students of the previous generations, as their lives are significantly interwoven with the digital world. The use of ICT tools and new methodological elements can be effective with traditional methods of music pedagogy. We developed a software, called Musicland for music education. We would like to contribute to creating music lessons more enjoyable and effective. Musicland is an online and offline program that builds on the philosophy and practice of edutainment and gamification. In the academic year 2017/2018, we started to pilot our program with 142 first grade students and four teachers. In this paper, we introduce the features of Musicland and share feedback and experience gained in the pilot study.
