Abstract

The animal assisted therapies efficiency is proved by case studies and observations in organic and functional disorders, additionally in posttraumatic stress syndrome. In Israel because of the natural resources and location the animal assisted therapy can take place with the contribution of dolphins. Children and adolescences with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, PTSD and with various kind of traumatic experiences can visit the dolphins at the Dolphin Reef in Eilat in order to heal and receive supportive experience. The Dolphin Reef provides an unique opportunity for the application of the animal assisted therapeutic method and its positive effect.
