Further education opportunities for pupils with special educational needs

Abstract

This paper presents the further education and career choices of pupils with special educational needs in the public education system and throughout their life course.

It provides an overview of the compensatory and equal opportunities benefits for pupils with special educational needs, both at the entry level and during the period of education, by level of education and by type of school.

The possibilities and specificities of helping pupils with special needs from the perspective of the guidance institution are described.
