Our article discusses the use of kinesiotaping technique in the therapy of a premature, multiply disabled girl with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD).
We present the child's life path, with a particular focus on the lung disease and the associated difficulties. We also provide an overview of the applied technique. We describe how we came to the decision to try the application, how we did it, and how we made our experiences measurable. We write about the dilemmas that arose and their resolution. Finally, we give an outlook on other cases in which we found the same technique useful.
The article was written by the child's mother and special education teacher. Our work is characterized by very close cooperation, joint thinking, and equal partnership. We indicated who wrote which sections of the article, so the reader can follow the parent/professional perspective.
