Challenges and compliances in the system of pedagogical assistance services

In 2013, the system of pedagogical assistance services went through significant changes in Hungary. Additionally, to increasing the state’s role, the policy goals of the system’s transformation included making the care system more efficient, creating conditions for equal access, eliminating regional disparities, and ensuring the necessary conditions for a qualitative renewal of professional service work, as well as supporting uniform professional quality.
The previous multi-service organisations with different types of institutions and undetermined remit had been replaced by a complex, clearly defined care system with county/capital-oriented organisations. The current study aims to describe the process of transformation of organisation and professional development.
