Absztrakt

Sŏ Jŏngju kétségtelenül a kora modern koreai irodalom egyik legjelentősebb költője, azonban politikai nézetei miatt személyisége máig vitatott. Az egyik leggyakoribb kritika ellene, hogy a japán gyarmati időszakban „pro-Japán kollaboráns” volt. A tanulmány célja, hogy a gyarmati időszaknak és az akkori koreai emberek helyzetének bemutatása által végére járjon, illetve történelmi hátteret adjon ennek a vádnak. Ebből a célból hasonlítja össze a költőt a szintén kollaboránsnak bélyegzett híres íróval, I Kwangsuval is. A tanulmány ezen kívül arra törekszik, hogy megvizsgálja a költő alakjához és műveihez való hozzáállás közelmúltbeli változásait.
