Abstract

The study examines the opportunities and challenges of collaboration between training schools and partner institutions within the renewed system of teacher
education.

The authors present, through the example of three schools — ELTE Radnóti Miklós Practice School, Újpesti Könyves Kálmán Secondary School, and Budapest District VI Szinyei Merse Pál Secondary School — how the practical training of pre-service teachers can be implemented within a framework of institutional- level collaboration. The article highlights that the new training structure introduced in 2022 redefines the roles of training schools and partner institutions, requiring closer professional networking than before.

The authors describe two different models of coordinating teaching practices—one led by a mentor working group and the other coordinated by school leadership—and also propose recommendations for improving institutional documentation and organizational operations.
