Abstract

This paper presents the results of the first, qualitative phase of a mixed-methods study.

Using semi-structured interviews, it explored the experiences of actors involved in rehabilitation with a view to creating an appropriate measurement tool. The preliminary study aimed to explore the participating parents’ perceptions of professionals and their expectations towards them, as well as the conductors’ views on their own roles, responsibilities, and competencies.

The sample included four conductors and four parents. Parents emphasized professionals’ softe skills, while the professionals focused on the roles,
tasks, and competencies within their teams.

The findings may indirectly support the further development of conductor training programmes.
