Abstract
Background and goals: We have the opportunity to express our thoughts and emotions not only orally, but we can also do all this in writing. The study focuses on explaining and recording what is said in writing.
Method: To find out the level of writing composition of hearing-impaired students, we used Csányi's novel procedure for assessing written expression. The writing composition products of the hearing-impaired students were analyzed and evaluated according to specific criteria. The procedure can be said to fill a gap in our country.
Results: Due to the lack of standardization of the test, we do not yet have a sufficient amount of data for comparison, but at the same time, the results show interesting aspects regarding the language use and imaginative activities of hearing-impaired students, without making possible comparisons with the writing composition activities of hearing students. During the testing of the testing procedure, the results showed that it is suitable for observing and monitoring the writing comosition of hearing-impaired students, and for planning further development work.
Conclusions: In the case of hearing-impaired students, the teaching of writing should be started as early as possible, using modern methodological views, in order to achieve the most successful performance.
