Abstract
Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common psychiatric disorders in childhood, and half of the cases persist in adulthood. ADHD is often associated with other psychiatric disorders and causes significant functional impairment in many areas, placing a burden on the individual, family, and community. ADHD has effective treatment. Effective collaboration of special education, psychology, and psychiatry is essential to ensure that as many children, adolescents, and adults as possible receive appropriate help to treat ADHD and associated problems. The purpose of the manuscript is to provide up-to-date, evidence-based information about ADHD.
