The aim of this contribution is to reconsid such problems in the phenomenological tradition of empathy (Einfühlung) as epoché, epistemological solipsism, intersubjectivity and bodyliness. After the explanation of the main claims on empathy by Lipps, Husserl, Scheler and Edith Stein, I suggest taking into account an intuitive, bodily unmediated mode of perception of the other’s subjectivity. Lisa Blackman’s “affective transfer” as a form of phenomenological intentionality can solve the apories of the Husserlian conception of transcendental intersubjectivity.
