Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submitted material must not have been published previously and must not be under review by another publisher.
  • The manuscript must fully comply with the Publication Ethics.
  • The content, style, and format must comply with these Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript must include the author details for publication (name, workplace in Hungarian and English, city of workplace, official email address, ORCID iD).
  • Authors must upload two versions of the manuscript to the sections Research Articles and From the Field: one version containing all the information required by the guidelines, and one anonymized version that does not include the author’s name and contains no identifying information in the file name, the text, or the Word document properties.
  • The manuscript must include the title in Hungarian and English.
  • Each submission must include five keywords in Hungarian and English.
  • For manuscripts submitted to the sections Research Articles or From the Field, a Hungarian and an English abstract of 1600–2000 characters are required.
  • For reviews, a high-quality cover image or website screenshot in .jpg format must be attached as a separate file.
  • For conference reports or research reports with photos, high-quality .jpg image files must be attached separately.
  • The manuscript text must be submitted in Microsoft Word format; figures must be uploaded as separate .jpg or Excel files.
  • References and the bibliography must conform to these Author Guidelines.
  • The text must not contain passages from other sources without proper quotation and citation.
  • The References must contain only existing sources.
  • Each in-text citation must correspond to an item in the References.
  • The References must include only works cited in the text.
  • Where available, reference items must include the DOI identifier.
  • If no DOI is available for a reference item but a URL exists, the URL and the date of access must be included.

Privacy Statement of the Journal First Language Pedagogy (Anyanyelv-pedagógia)

The names and email addresses registered with the journal are used exclusively by the editorial team of the journal First Language Pedagogy (Anyanyelv-pedagógia) for purposes defined by the journal. They are not shared with third parties or used for any other purposes. The author’s name, ORCID identifier, institutional (preferably) email address, and institutional affiliation or workplace are publicly accessible in the journal.
