Abstract

This study focuses on the functional approach to teaching pronouns. Taking into account the
requirements of the current National Core Curriculum and the Framework Curriculum, its goal
is to present a thematic plan along with a detailed description that can serve as a resource for
practicing teachers. The structure of the thematic plan follows the logic of sequence of the core
material outlined in the National Core Curriculum and the Framework Curriculum, covering
pronouns according to traditional classification (personal, possessive, reciprocal, reflexive,
demonstrative, interrogative, relative, indefinite, and general pronouns). Beyond classification,
the emphasis is placed on the role of pronouns in text construction and everyday language
use. To support this approach, the study presents various exercises that incorporate modern,
communication-centered, and playful learning techniques, including the use of smart tools and,
in some cases, the integration of social media.
