Abstract

The articles in this section belong to our series, launched in the previous issue, on the role of didactics in today's education.

Changes in the socio-economic environment are challenging teachers to manage the diversity and specificities of the student population and to integrate the achievements of digitalisation into school work. Our authors present how the Budapest Business University and the University of Miskolc prepare teacher candidates to successfully meet these challenges from the perspective of teacher trainers.

They show, among other things, how didactic content can connect different subjects, how it is possible to create a learning environment for student teachers that is rich in positive examples based on their own experiences, and what opportunities exist to strengthen the link between theory and practice.

The authors also discuss the challenges that are at the heart of further training development. We look forward to hearing about our readers' views and reflections on the papers and the questions raised.
