The research aims to examine the attitudes of students (N=108) studying in the undivided teacher training of the University of Debrecen toward health awareness, as well as their academic achievement. Based on the results, students are characterised by relatively flexible coping, their health behaviour is better compared to the research data of the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS). Significant gender differences were observed only in some components. The impact of sport alone is significantly positive, but this effect disappears with the involvement of health awareness and academic achievement components. Our results provide an insight into the state of health awareness of teacher trainees. However, detailed exploration of its trends requires further research, especially due to the current epidemiological situation.
