Publication Guidelines

Research Articles

Research articles should be no longer than 30.000-40.000 characters.

Submissions should include:

·        the English and Hungarian title of the paper;

·        an abstract in English and Hungarian (no longer than 500-600 characters),

·        up to seven keywords in English and Hungarian,

·        authors’ name, email address, and institutions.

All submissions undergo anonymous peer review.

 

Criterion:

1)

Submissions follow the journal section criterion;

2)

relevance of the topic and its fit to the journal’s profile,

3)

quality of the literature review in the article,

4)

quality of the methodology used and presented in the article;

5)

quality of the discussion of research results and its scientific relevance;

6)

the submission follows the journal’s publication style.

 

 

 

Professional Learning Communities

Essays/short articles should be no longer than 20.000-30.000 characters.

Submissions should include:

·        the English and Hungarian title of the essay/article.

·        an abstract in English and Hungarian (no longer than 500-600 characters),

·        up to seven keywords in English and Hungarian,

·        authors’ name, email address, and institutions.

All submissions undergo anonymous peer review.

 

Criterion:

1)

Relevance and originality of the topic discussed in the article;

2)

a structured and critical review of the literature;

3)

quality of the methodology used and presented in the article;

4)

quality of the discussion of research results and its scientific relevance;

5)

the submission follows the journal’s publication style.

 

 

 

Portraits

Manuscripts should be no longer than 20.000-30.000 characters.

Submissions should include:

·        the English and Hungarian title of the essay/article.

·        authors’ name, email address, and institutions.

 

Submissions are reviewed by the editors of the section.

 

Criterion:

1)

Submissions follow the journal section criterion;

2)

coherence of the manuscript,

3)

the submission follows the journal’s publication style.

 

 

 

Reviews

Review articles should be no longer than 2.000-3.000 characters.

Submissions should include:

·        the English and Hungarian title of the essay/article.

·        authors’ name, email address, and institutions.

Submissions are reviewed by the editors of the section.

 

Suggested elements of the review articles:

·        a short summary of the reviewed material (with bibliographical data: author, title, publication location, publisher, page number, ISBN),

·        introduction of the author,

·        critical analysis and evaluation of the reviewed publication/material (relevance, methodological considerations, originality),

·        analyses of the originality and relevance of the reviewed publication/material.

 

Criterion:

1)

Coherence of the manuscript;

2)

submissions follow the journal section criterion;

3)

relevance of the review and its connection to teacher education and teachers’ professional learning and development);

4)

quality of the analysis.

 

 

 

Dialogues

Essays/short articles should be no longer than 9.000-15.000 characters.

Submissions should include:

·        the English and Hungarian title of the essay/article.

·        an abstract in English and Hungarian (no longer than 300-500 characters),

·        up to five keywords in English and Hungarian,

·        authors’ name, email address, and institutions.

All submissions undergo anonymous peer review.

 

Criterion:

1)

The submitted manuscript should include a short abstract that summarizes the thesis sentence and logic of the essay.

The manuscript depicts the author’s arguments, conclusions, and dilemmas.

2)

The manuscript follows the principles of a scientific debate. The authors' argumentation is verified by references, it avoids subjective personal remarks.

3)

The essay should discuss a relevant and current issue that might inspire readers.
