Artificial intelligence constitutes not only a technological development, but also a pedagogical challenge. How does AI affect the attitudes, preparedness and technological skills of teachers and students? Is it essential to develop the AI competences of teachers and teacher trainees so that they can adapt to technological developments?
The aim of this paper is to show which elements of instructional design and didactics can be used to nurture teachers’ and teacher trainees’ AI competences.
