Abstract

In Orosháza, as a branch of the Higher Agricultural Technical School Hódmezvásárhely, a Feed Management specialisation was launched in 1963, which trained middle-level leaders, known as specialised technicians, for feed factories, agricultural cooperatives, state farms, and large-scale livestock farms of that time, until its closure in 1968.The educational and agricultural environment of the 1960s provided considerable flexibility for establishing and organising schools. Based primarily on archival documents and the recollections of former students and teachers, this article reconstructs the institution's 5-year history and presents Mihály Babinszky, who played a key role in the foundation and operation of the school, elevating him to the ranks of significant school organisers.
