Privacy and Legal Statements

1. Privacy Statement. The names, email addresses and reviews entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

2. Gratuity. Following a publication policy based on the principle of equity, the Journal of Elpis does not charge any article processing, submission or publication charges. All articles published in the journal can be accessed free of charge immediately after their publication. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any royalties to the authors for publishing their articles.

3. Copyright. By sending an article to the Journal, authors confirm that the article is their own original intellectual product and that no rights of a third party are harmed by the publication. In case of any claim by a third party, authors take full responsibility including any financial consequences. Authors’ name(s), ORCID ID, and their institutional affiliation are made available in the printed issue and on the website (in the format agreed in advance). Authors are allowed to distribute their article in the same version as the one published in the journal by acknowledging this as initial publication. Authors are encouraged to share their work on online platforms.

4. License. The copyright of articles published in the journal remains with the author. The journal has the right of first publication. The published work is licensed under Creative Commons License “Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International" (CC BY-NC 4.0). This means that copying, redistribution, remixing, transformation and building upon the published work is allowed for any purpose except commercial purposes as long as proper credit is given to the author, a link to the licence is provided, and any changes made to the original work are indicated.

5. Open Access. Elpis is a libre open access journal. In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), this means that users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and use for any other lawful purpose the full texts of articles published in the journal, without financial, legal, or technical limitations as long as they adhere to the internationally acknowledged norms of scholarly ethics (citation, reference etc.).

6. Archiving. Articles published in the journal are archived in the Digital Institutional Repository (EDIT) of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). This repository provides storage for documents and archives related to the institution, enabling users to search and browse in collections within certain categories.
