Author Guidelines

Currently, the journal only accepts manuscripts via email. Please send the manuscripts, prepared according to the author guidelines, to the editor-in-chief, Natalia Kocsel, at the following email address: kocsel.natalia@ppk.elte.hu. Thank you for your understanding!

The Journal only accepts empirical research with valid ethical approval. The journal does not verify or evaluate the practices of different institutions – which can sometimes vary significantly – and accepts them unconditionally. In the submitted articles, please include the name of the institution/authority issuing the approval and the ethical approval number.

The editorial office only accepts manuscripts in electronic form, to be sent by email (kocsel.natalia@ppk.elte.hu). The manuscript should be in DOCX format, using 12-point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. The paper should contain no more than two additional heading levels, besides the main title and any subtitles. Emphasized text should be italicized. Please avoid using detailed or numbered bibliographical footnotes within the text. References and bibliography should be formatted according to the journal’s style guide (detailed instructions on the formatting requirements can be downloaded here).

The manuscript should include an English and Hungarian abstract (summary), up to 250 words in length, followed by 3-6 keywords. The structured abstract should be divided into the following sections: Background and aims, Methods, Results, Conclusions (the English abstract should follow the same structure: Background and aims, Methods, Results, Discussion). Figures/tables should be submitted with source data in an editable format.

Please adhere to the character limits specified in the formatting requirements for the manuscript type (these include spaces) as they indicate the maximum length for the entire manuscript (including the reference list and appendices).

For manuscript preparation, please use the downloadable document template.

The Editorial Office can only accept manuscripts for review that fully meet the length and formatting requirements.
