A retorika tanítása

A retorika tanítása kihívások előtt áll. Jelen tanulmány kezdeményezés és javaslat a retorika oktatási programjának a szemléletfrissítésére. Kiindulópontja az, hogy a retorikát nem beszédművek előállításának eszközrendszereként, hanem érzékenységként és magatartásként tekinti. A retorikai nevelés ennek megfelelően nem a kész szöveg megszületésére, hanem a kommunikáló személyiség, a magabíró ’retorikus polgár’ megformálására koncentrál. Az ehhez illeszkedő oktatási módszer a legkevésbé sem veti el a klasszikus diszciplína ismeretét, használatát. Ellenkezőleg, annak dinamikus kapacitását törekszik megmutatni, alkalmazni. A három fázisban megragadott és leírt oktatási folyamat lényege az, hogy a retorikai kommunikációra nem mint produktumra, hanem mint folyamatra tekint. Ez az integratív nézőpont lehetővé teszi, hogy a retorikát nagyobb kedvvel, közös, alkotó nyelvi-kommunikációs cselekvésként oktassuk a középiskolában.
