At the beginning of the 21st century, the media regularly informs us about the religious disputes of different churches, which often lead to tragic consequences. Researchers of legal history and church history have the opportunity to find examples in history to follow and avoid in order to help today’s legislators. The roots of the research go back to the historical times when people of different nationalities and religions lived together in space and time. The data of the trial that took place in Nagyharsány in Baranya County, with a tragic outcome, and the records (Historia Domus) of the parish priest of Mátraszőlős in Nógrád County provide such examples for posterity.
