Luigi Pirandello has proposed the diabolical theme since his early works. The devil, depicted in a comic or humorous way, is present in many of his short stories, but also in Fu Mattia Pascal and in some cinematographic subjects. This essay presents a transversal mapping of this theme, in reference to the models and sources used by the Sicilian writer.
