Abstract

While building the MOL pipe-line between Tiszapalkonya and Százhalombatta in 2005-2006, excavations were carried out at 32 archaeological sites by associates of the Herman Ottó Museum in southern Borsod. In the Szentistván-Mádi meadow (MOL site 24) a Sarmatian and an Árpád Age cemetery, a few garbage pits from the Early Bronze Age and a double burial site from the Middle Copper Age (Bodrogkeresztúr Culture) were unearthed.
