Abstract
In the Middle Neolithic settlement features of the Nagykálló-Harangod site 966 pieces of animal bone fragments were found. The remains belonged to five domestic and six hunted mammal species. The amounts of the remains of cattle and small ruminants were presented in nearly equal proportions. Only a few bones belonged to pigs and dogs. Five sunken featured buildings were found in the settlement yielding a relatively rich find material considering the number of animal bone remains as well as the number of identifiable animal species.
