In today's world, artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly popular, used by more people and in more fields. However, this process is creating a new problem for teachers, generating many questions: Should we rejoice and use it in education, or worry and prohibit its use? Do students use it to solve homework problems? Should homework be changed?
In my article, I seek to answer these questions. First, I conducted research among university students to see how much they know, like, and use ChatGPT. Then, in my Algorithms and Data Structures course, I investigated how well students can solve homework using artificial intelligence. After that, I will present my changes, which were primarily aimed at preventing homework from being solved directly with ChatGPT. Finally, I examine the impact of my changes, based on students' opinions and performance.
