Notes on Stela No. 13 from the Bucheum and the Buhis Cult from the 1st Century BCE to the 1st Century CE

This article analyzes Stela No. 13 from the ancient Egyptian Bucheum necropolis, dated to the turn of the 1st century BCE and CE, which is associated with the ram-headed god Buhis. Through philological and iconographic analysis, the study explores how the formula referring to the ascension of the ba-soul reflects contemporary religious practice and funerary ideology. The article offers new perspectives on the interpretation of the stela, with special attention to the symbolic language of the text and the regional significance of the Buhis cult.
