A tanulmány a római irodalmi nyilvánosság intézménytörténeti és kulturális kereteit vizsgálja az Apolló-kultuszhoz kapcsolódó színtereken keresztül. Bemutatja, hogyan alakultak át a Kr. e. 1. század végén és a császárkor elején a költészet előadásának és befogadásának helyei: a templomok, könyvtárak és porticusok. Az elemzés központjában Augustus Apollón-temploma és könyvtára áll, amely a költői reprezentáció új közegét teremtette meg. A vizsgálat rámutat, hogy az Apolló-kultuszhoz kötődő terek nemcsak vallási, hanem irodalmi és politikai funkcióval is bírtak: a költők jelenléte ezekben a helyekben a res publica új kulturális rendjének részévé vált. A tanulmány így hozzájárul a római irodalmi nyilvánosság topográfiájának és hatalmi kontextusának jobb megértéséhez.
