Space is a basic element to determine identity, and identity can only exist based on tamed or own spaces. Roberto Bolaño always traces identity problems and it is well-known his stinginess with descriptions. His descriptions are means of destruction or of construction? Does the description give stability to the homes represented or does it increase the savage nonsense? The artistic, in its duality (divine or diabolic), is often located in the space of the home, which also appears as an uncertain place, a border area.
