Description, present in the most diverse types of texts, scientific and literary, narrative and argumentative, is not only a particular way to organize the level of utterance, but also to assume an enunciative position. Far from thinking of description as a discursive form that accounts for something pre-existing, we will consider it as an enunciation that makes to be, that gives existential density, in a particular way, to the entities that it names. In light of these reflections, there will be analyzed a brief work of descriptive prose by Fabio Morábito, included in his book Toolbox.
