Abstract

Solving problems that arise during the construction of an automated loading cell is part of the process. We focused on the vibration of the scanning stand to ensure the quality of the point cloud. Using a finite element method, it was possible to convert the scaffold to a suitable stiffness. During the initial unloading tests, the robot (KUKA KR120 R2700) collided several times, and the elimination of this error was verified by systematic tests. To optimize the system, the speed of the Wenglor MLSL 255 laser scanner was increased by 20%, which increased the distance of the data points in the point cloud from 2.1 mm to 2.4 mm. The use of the system confirmed that this change had no negative consequences, i.e. the detection of the products is still adequate.
